Shoestring Theatre Company Celebrates Seven Years
We began with a singular mission. Use storytelling to entertain and educate audiences about the authentic Appalachians. So far, we have presented original comedies, dramas, tales of folklore and even Christmas stories interwoven with live Bluegrass music.
We appreciate each and every actor, producer and our patrons. Without you none of our work would matter or be possible.
Now in our eighth year, Shoestring will continue to seek stories that tell the authentic stories of the people and places of the Appalachians. (It’s pronounced “Apple LATCH uh.”)

Mission
Our mission is to share the culture of Southwest Virginia with the rest of the Commonwealth using original stories set in Southwest Virginia. Our board of directors is comprised of members from both Southwest and Northern Virginia. Shoestring Theatre Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
